travelchick Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 4-star hotel in Lester B. Pearson Intl Airport YYZ area Hotel Recommended in 80% of customer reviewsOverall Satisfaction = 4.5 out of 5Check-in September 3, 2010 (for one night)Listed Amenities:- Airport Shuttle- Fitness Centre- Pool(s)- Restaurant(s)- Business Centre- High-Speed internet AccessThe quote is $69 for the night...I'm hoping that it's the Sheraton Gateway. Any ideas? No
thereuare Posted May 14, 2010 Report Posted May 14, 2010 The property above matches the Hilton, Sheraton Airport and Conference Center, and the Sheraton Gateway... unfortunately no way to differentiate between the three, so any of these would be my best guess for this HOTWIRE offering. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help.EDIT to ADD: if you change your search to 4adults/0childre a 'new' 4* hotel appears for $102/nite in this zone with:Shuttle, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa... this is an altnerate amenity combination for the Sheraton Gateway so that would be my best guess for this one. The "safe" way to play this if you're trying for the Sheraton Gateway is to pay this rate, but not sure if you want to pay this much over the previous 2adults/0children $69/nite rate.HOWEVER, if you look at the details of this offering it has a recommended in 80% of customer reviews, 500+ reviews, and gets 4.5/5.0 rating across the board for all the information HOTWIRE asks for in their survey. Now go back and re-run your 2adult/0children search and it has the same 80% recommended, 500+ reviews, and 4.5/5.0 across the board. This points to the likelihood that these are the same property, although it's not guaranteed to be the case (another hotel could have same 'details' data... or our guess on the 4adults/0children search is not correct)... but there are the similarities and you can decide if you want to take this risk for the $69 property (or purchase the $102 4adult property)Please follow-up this thread with whatever you end up doing for this stay, even if you choose to book direct, cancel your trip, etc. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
travelchick Posted May 21, 2010 Author Report Posted May 21, 2010 Thanks for the information. When I went back to Hotwire today with the same search criteria (same travel dates and 2 adults/0 children), it now shows the same amenities and price as previously noted - except this time, there is now an added icon called "bed choices" - if you point to that icon, it says "This property offers you the option to reserve your beds on the next page".I clicked "Continue" to select, and Hotwire now provides you with the following options:You can choose the $69 per room per night.-OR-Under "Choose your beds""Reserve 1 king bed" for $79 per room per night or"Reserve 2 double beds" for $79 per room per night.Does this help to narrow down which hotel it could be?
thereuare Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 Unfortunately at this time the "bed choice" option can not be used to help narrow down the field of potential properties. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
