Awesomejen1 Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 I had such great success with bidding for a hotel room in San Francisco, I went for it in Napa as well. Looking at HOTWIRE told me I probably wouldn't get into Napa proper with my budget ($50-$60) But I tried anyway...here is how it wentYesterday I bid:Upper Napa, Napa, Sonoma - 4* - $50 - RejectedUpper Napa/Napa/Sonoma - 4* & 3.5* - $50 - RejectedI changed my serch then to: Santa Rosa 3.5*/3* - $40 - RejectedSanta Rosa 3.5*/3* - $45 - RejectedSanta Rosa/Rohnhert 3.5/3* - $50 - RejectedI gave up for the night, today I bidSanta Rosa 3.5* - $50 - RejectedSanta Rosa/Rohnhart 3.5/3* - $55 - RejectedSanta Rosa/Rohnhart 3.5/3* - $60 - ACCEPTED!!!I don't know if this hotel is available on HW, but looking over there, the only 3.5* hotel with similar Amenities was going for $152. And if you book directly on the hotels website, you get the price of $149.Seems like a good deal and a nice place. What has everyone's experience been on getting rooms with 2 beds vs 1 bed? We are hoping to be able to get a room with 2 beds. What do you think the chances are for us?
AaronJB Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Congratulations on your success!Wonderful deal for this Napa property! Hope you are looking forward to your stay.PRICELINE only guarantees 1 bed. If you need two beds, I would contact the hotel and inquire as to whether it would be possible to get a room with two beds. The hotel could say no - it depends on the hotel and the day and possibly who you talk to.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
