Priceline cancelling etiquette!

Hi all --

I've made a booking on Priceline (Name your Own Price) and I've had to cancel my trip. I know I can't cancel the booking for a refund (I have travel insurance so not concerned) but should I let the hotel know I will not be coming, or does it not matter?

First time this has happened -- hopefully last!

Thanks.

PRICELINE reservations cannot be cancelled or transferred. However, in terms of the latter, there have been some instances of users reporting over the years they have been able to work something out with the hotel and/or PRICELINE (it generally involved back-and-forth calling one and the other) - it's worth trying, but generally does not work.

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
