Hotwire Hotel: 4* Chicago (Loop) Palmer House

Hi - I'm looking to book a room in Chicago for May 21-25 and would really appreciate some help.

On Hotwire I see two that interest me:

4* in Loop for $116

Amenities: Fitness, Restaurant, Business, High-Speed

or

4* in Museum Campus/McCormick Place for $242.10

Amenities: Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, High-Speed

The Loop hotel is clearly a much better deal and interests me. Am I right in thinking these are the Hilton Palmer House (Loop) and Hilton Chicago (off South Michigan)? I can get a better deal on the Hilton Chicago myself, but if I could feel confident that the Loop hotel is the Palmer House I'd jump on that. But makes me curious as to why the Palmer would be so much cheaper.

Again, really appreciate your thoughts.

The National Restaurant Association Show (which I believe is Chicago's largest convention of the year) is occurring during part of this time.

If you click on the 4* Museum Campus listing to go to the detail page, this is showing as a regular rate listing and is the Hilton via Hotels.com.

The 4* Loop is a discount listing, and could be a possible match for the Hilton or W City Center.

Thanks for the quick reply - I just found out about that show going on. How confident do you think you are about the 4* Loop being the Hilton Palmer or W City Center?

The 4* Loop would match the amenity set previously reported w/both properties and the tripadvisor rating that I'm seeing on the detail page for this listing (3.5/5) would also match both properties. There's always the chance it could be something else, but my guess would be that it's either the W or Palmer.

Congratulations on your success!

Very nice deal for this historic property (the lobby is stunning.) There is a Corner Bakery just a few steps East of the hotel's main entrance on Monroe if you are looking for a quick breakfast/lunch/dinner next to the hotel.
