Hey guys, I'm looking to stay in the nicest place we (my Girlfriend and I) possibly can, so likely a 3.5* at a really decent price.

We'll be in Anaheim from August 19th until the 26th, so what would you guys suggest bidding in that timeframe? I know summer prices are generally a little higher, so I was hoping you guys could be of assistance =)

Also, in your guys' opinion, is it a good idea to book now versus waiting until June/July to book? (Don't worry, I've read the FAQ haha)

Thanks a ton!

Welcome to BetterBidding :)

If you would like to get help with a bidding strategy so please post your budget/night, zone(s) you're willing to stay in.

There's no general answer to this. But it's not to early to bid. Please read this link: Should i Bid Early or Close to Arrival Date

Let us know how we can help you further.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Absolutely, thanks for the response!

I was thinking somewhere "nice" within walking distance to Disneyland, so likely something 3.5* in that general area. My budget is flexible, I've seen some 3.5* hotels go for ~$45, but I've also seen the same hotels go for ~$60 during summer so I'd be ok with whatever is best for the time I'm going to be there.

I'm thinking I'll probably do my bidding this week and get cancellation insurance in case something miraculous happens in the next few months and there are suddenly 4* hotels offered for $20 in that area =P

I suppose my only other question is: Are the hotels in the Disneyland area actually of good quality, or would it be more worth getting something nicer that may be a shuttle-ride away instead of walking distance? My only reason for asking is because we'll be staying in Anaheim for a week, so I'm hoping to stay in a place we won't get tired of just for the sake of convenience.

Thanks again =)

When using PRICELINE you won't be able to guarantee that the hotel you receive is within walking distance to Disneyland... your hotel can be anywhere within the shaded boundaries of the zone.

Assuming you're buying the insurance thru PRICELINE, it doesn't cover 'buyer's remorse'... the insurance typically applies for things such as medical conditions, travel interruption, etc.

You can see the hotels previously reported to the board in the Priceline Hotel List.

Let us know when/how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.

Totally understood =) I'm fine with walking haha, as is my girlfriend =) A 30 minute walk would be totally fine with either of us =)

Also understood, that was definitely my misinterpretation. I think we'll be satisfied with anywhere to rest our heads at night haha =)

Thanks for that list! It was pretty helpful overall, gave us some things to look forward to/watch out on our bidding and whereabouts we would be staying. I think it's likely that we'll try for a 3.5* in the Disneyland region (#5 on Priceline) and start around $45, going up in $5 increments. We'll do that (likely) either tonight or tomorrow, it depends on some correspondence I get from someone in San Francisco. Also, out of curiosity, what does using those links do for the site? I have seen the links being suggested to people a lot but am not sure what difference they make from the standard site =)

Thanks again! =)

Just an update:

Did some bidding today on the Disneyland - Anaheim area in the 3.5*'s, got up to about $65 with no luck.

Ran out of re-bidding but shall try again tomorrow. Do you guys think it's likely that I'm having trouble because we're trying to book a whole week?

Thanks a ton =)
