jodyann Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 Hello! I am new to board but a lurker for years :) I would really like to get the Chelsea luxe tower in AC for my anniversary this weekend. Dates are 5/14-5-16. I read the rebidding but am still confused as to how to go about it. Any suggestions? Should I just pick 3* ? I really don't want Bally's though.
AaronJB Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)There is no way to guarantee a particular property via PRICELINE. If you were to bid for a 3* in this particular zone, you could get any of the 3*'s, or possibly be upgraded to one of the 3.5*'s. With HOTWIRE, one can make an educated guess as to which hotels may be showing, but that is not 100% guaranteed.I do see what appears to be the Chelsea Luxe Tower on HOTWIRE for these dates at $159 on HOTWIRE for these dates; would that be of interest?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
jodyann Posted May 12, 2010 Author Report Posted May 12, 2010 I did already check out HOTWIRE's price. I just figured I could get it cheaper with PRICELINE. i used PRICELINE last year for the chelsea with a great deal. but the star ratings are different this year.

jodyann Posted May 13, 2010 Author Report Posted May 13, 2010 Ok..I clicked on the link for PRICELINE and checked my messages.
thereuare Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 I just figured I could get it cheaper with PRICELINE.As pointed out above, you can probably get a hotel cheaper thru PRICELINE, but not necessarily the Chelsea... are you willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) that you choose... or do you prefer to pay a little more and try to target the Chelsea? (ie- you also mention NOT wanting a certain hotel in the zone)Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
