Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Chicago North Shore (North Shore) Crowne Plaza

First time user on PRICELINE, planning family vacation 6/5-6/19, prefer Evanston-Skokie area or Des Plaines. 3.5* hotels..any suggestion on price bidding? or recommendation on decent hotel, must have a microwave and fridge in room. thanks

There is no way to guarantee a fridge/microwave via bidding, although one can look for a kitchenette icon via HOTWIRE. Additionally, 2 beds are not guaranteed via PRICELINE, but bedding for quad occupancy is guaranteed via HOTWIRE, so that may be a better option for this stay.

Please provide your desired budget per night, and I would be happy to look for possibilities. Additionally, would you be interested in areas slightly to the North (such as Northbrook/Glenview/Deerfield?) In terms of Deerfield, you could be close to Long Grove, plus Wagner Farm in Glenview is fun for a short stop (a working farm in the 'burbs.) There are also family concerts at Ravinia Music Festival in Highland Park during the time period.

Thanks for the quick response, Budget- $70-$80/nite, location is not flexible as this point as i need to commute btn desplaines and Evanston daily. any where within that commute wil be considered too.

Unfortunately, there are few hotels in Evanston (only 3 in downtown Evanston and the one that would be the best fit in this case - the HGI - has rarely ever been seen on HOTWIRE or PRICELINE) Skokie also has a limited amount of hotels, and the one showing on HOTWIRE at the 3* level for these dates is likely the Holiday Inn Skokie, which has gotten some very negative reviews in the recent past (and is showing for $116.)

The Hampton Inn Skokie, which is showing for $98 on Orbitz (and coupon code FABSAVE10 should work for an extra 10% off) is an option in Skokie - this hotel has never been seen as a PRICELINE or HOTWIRE win.

However, the best deal is a very impressive rate via Wyndham for the Wyndham Glenview Suites, an all-suite property in Glenview, which is just a bit North of Des Plaines. This property gets excellent reviews (#1 in Glenview) on Tripadvisor and I'm seeing a rate of $69.99 when searching on Wyndham.com for these dates, which is significantly less than Orbitz or Expedia. Please use the site's Wyndham link in the Support/Travel section if you decide to go this route.

The Grove Historic Site is across from the Wyndham.
