kevcheney Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 I need some assistance/advice for a Resort level hotel in the WDW Orlando area for the dates of 4/9 - 4/13. I have tried a couple times so far with no success topping out at $85. I don't want to go much higher than this, but was wondering if I am close with my top bid of $85. Is there a chance I would get something for $85 or lower if I keep trying or do you think I should increase my bid? Thanks for any help/advice.Kevin
ufjoe21 Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 you have plenty of time to bid on this.........why not start with $60 or $70 till you run out of free rebids and increase $5 per rebid, if you fail you can afford to wait the 72 hr. lockout period to bid againconsider this............3* in the WDW is looking cheap for those dates, would you be willing to accept a 3* if the price is right?sorry no one responded sooner :)
thereuare Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!Prices are very high for your dates at the Wyndham (the most common result when bidding results in the WDW area), but rates are only a 'little' high at a property like the Hilton (also rated Resort by Priceline) and something there may become available as you get closer to your check-in dates. The 3 stars in this area are usually much less expensive, but i also think they are a decent drop in quality... nothing wrong with them per se, but it depends upon what you want from your hotel stay. With so many hotels in the area i wouldn't be too worried about getting something and would probably wait another month before lowering to the 3 star level (and continue to try priceline for a better quality hotel). In the meantime, to protect yourself, i would book a fully cancellable back-up.Also, have you tried the left and right drop down menus (there are different hotels listed in each one) at the EasyClickTravel Search Tool? Some of their rates are excellent, while others are not so good, but it pays to give them a look.
