Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Tampa (Downtown) Sheraton Riverwalk

Hello all.

I have successfully won 2 nights hotel at 49$ each for Tampa (Downtown) Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk for July 23-25, 2010.

Starting bid was I believe 35$, and worked my way up. Added I think 3 zones before my bid was accepted. Sorry first time using PRICELINE and forgot to take notes of these things.

Hi all, as this is my very first time using PRICELINE, I apologize if I have posted this at the wrong place. ~_~"

I have recently booked a room through PRICELINE, and I am wondering if I can add my friend's name on my reservation? We are arriving on different dates, she will be arriving 1 day earlier than I do.

I have called the Sheraton about it, but the lady on the phone told me that I have to make the request through price.ilne, where should I go/call? I can't seem to find the answer in any FAQ.

Congratulations on your first PRICELINE win and thank you for sharing your results with the board.

Adding a name to the reservation is at the discretion of the hotel, and each hotel reacts differently to it, but while you can try PRICELINE, i'm guessing you'll have better luck trying again to pursue this with the hotel. I'd call again (during a different time of day than your previous attempt in hopes of getting a different front desk clerk) and try again... don't mention PRICELINE (they'll know as soon as they look at the reservation) but just say that you "have a reservation but your friend will arriving before you so you'd like to have their name added to the reservation so they don't have to sit in the lobby until your arrival" (ie- i wouldn't mention that you'll be arriving the following day)

My friend decided to cut that 1 day and go with me on the same day after all. But I will keep your advice in mind for next time if same thing happens. =)
