Priceline Hotel: 3* Charlotte (Coliseum - Charlotte South) Hilton

Stayed at the allegedly 3-star Hilton Charlotte Executive Park on 2/9/2005 for $49.

(Probably could have gotten it cheaper, but this was my first Priceline bid.)

We did not like this hotel. Our non-smoking room was in a poor state of repair, and had visible cigarette burns in the bathroom. They had just recently installed Wi-Fi, but our Powerbook located halfway down one hall couldn't find the signal.

We didn't avail ourselves of any of the other hotel benefits - restaurant, concierge, etc. - and doubtless would have been happier with any of the 2.5-star hotels in the area.

Sorry to hear you had a disappointing stay. Hopefully you'll still try Priceline and/or the othe opaque services down the road and have better luck... the savings and value are certainly there to be had.
