SFO Rental Car Companies?

I'm thinking about renting through HOTWIRE, but I'm concerned that I will end up with Fox Rentacar. I've read some very negative reviews of them. Does anyone know which companies HOTWIRE uses in SFO? Thanks.

If you book a HOTWIRE hot Rate, you are guaranteed a car rental from one of these leading agencies: Alamo, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar (International only), Hertz or National.

For regular-rate rentals, HOTWIRE offers cars from a broader range of car rental agencies. You will see the agency name prior to completing your reservation.

So if you book an "opaque" rental (where the rental company name is not shown before purchase) you won't receive Fox... the only way you could receive them is if you book an "retail" listing in which case the name of the rental company is shown before booking.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Please follow-up this thread with whatever you end up doing for this stay, even if you choose to book direct, cancel your trip, etc.

It looks like Avis has dropped out of HOTWIRE. The most recent Avis on HOTWIRE report I can find, in any city, was in Nov 2009.
