pjwm Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 Beginning my bid for June 22 Westminister only because Marriott County Hall is the hotel I want. Bid at $125 failed. I have not noticed any recent activity for this particular area/ hotel can anyone suggest why?I was in London last year and stayed at the Grosvenor but really like the Westminister area. Thanks
thereuare Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! With 4* hotels in this zone going for ~$100/nite, many may choose not to bid for a 5* hotel in this area give the 50% it usually takes over a 4* hotel. Along the same lines, others may try bidding for a 5* but it gets too high, and they decide to simply go for the more affordable (and perhaps better value) 4* properties. When bidding 5* in this area you do have FOUR re-bid zones avaialble. Are you familiar with re-bidding (see Priceline Re-Bidding Explained) and using your re-bid zones? (if you're new to the concept it's highly recommend you confirm your re-bid zones with the board before bidding)What is your maximum bid for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
