NYC12 Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 My friends and I (4 together) are travelling to NYC from June 22-27 (Tue-Sun). Our original budget was $150 in Manhattan, but we were afraid that we wouldn't get hotels that have double rooms. So instead we decided to bid for 3* hotels in Jersey city with $110/night and call the hotel later to ask for a 2-bed room. (I've checked that all hotels in Jersey city 3* up have double rooms) I just bidded up to $100 in Jersey city but failed. I'm wondering if our stay is too long to get a price under $110, and if it would help to split up our stay in two hotels, cause I've heard that the price is cheaper on the weekends? Also could you please advise me on rebidding strategy for 3* hotel in Jersey city.. Thank you!
thereuare Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 Before bidding further... although the hotels in this area may have rooms with two beds, what will you do if the hotel is unable, or unwilling, to you accommodate your request for a two bedded room? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
