MCDForm Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 Hello, I'm trying to book two rooms in Vegas using HOTWIRE and I get different options if I select 1 room or two rooms. I like the options better if I select one room but I'm scared that if I book one room at a time that I will get two different hotels. Is there anyway to get the same options using two rooms.Example:2 Nights - 1 RoomResults: 5 Star - South Strip - $842 Nights - 2 RoomsResults: 5 Star - South Strip - $99 (also in a hotel I don't like). Thanks
yellowdog Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding :) Try with alternate your search. Search 2 rooms and 3 adults, 2 adults + 1 child etc and see if you get a diffrent result.Let us know how we can help you further. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.PS. Please follow-up this thread with whatever you ended up doing for the stay (even if you chose to book direct, cancelled your stay, etc)
thereuare Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 What hotel do you believe appears when searching for 1 room and that you do want... what hotel do you believe is appearing for 2 rooms that you don't want? Do you need more than double occupancy in either room? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too! MCDForm Posted May 3, 2010 Author Report Posted May 3, 2010 Thanks for the replies. We only need 2 adults per room.It actually looked like one was Vdara and the other was Aria (which we preferred). It looked that way because it didn't list Casino in the amenities and stated non-smoking in the amenities when booking 2 rooms but listed Casino when booking 1 room. This was under 5 Star south Strip.I tried all the combinations and nothing seemed to work. For right now I got a really good deal on Bellagio (refundable) for 130 after tax. I'm going to keep plugging away at hotwire though.
Alex689 Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 Just want to give you guys some information I had the same situation as MCDForm. Tried to book 2 rooms, it only showed "Vdara" available, but if I searched one room on the same date, then Hotwire will have "Aria" available.Since some one in our group smokes, so we would prefer to stay @ Aria. Here is what we did. We took the risk and used two computers booking one room on each computer, we processed till the last step, then we hit the "submit" at the same time. This did work for us, We got two rooms at Aria on the same date.
thereuare Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 MCDForm,Please note from our support page that we're an affiliate of the Bellagio... if you didn't, please check there for your hotel direct purchases. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too!Alex689,Please post your wins as a NEW TOPIC so that others will be aware of and benefit from your information. Also, as info for anyone else trying the same approach in the future, this is not foolproof, as others have tried to do this in the past... sometimes it works, other times one purchase goes thru and the second (by a split second) gets a message that the offering is no longer available.
