dc3
This former Hampton Inn has been very nicely renovated. The rooms are modern and the sound-proofing is excellent - facing the expressway there was no noise. The place is well-maintained and parking is easy. The heating/cooling is by a heat pump with no precise thermostat so it's a guess and it's quite a pain. Breakfast is very generous and hectic with lots of kids and people taking things to their rooms. The location is convenient to the university, hospitals, and malls. The location is in walking distance of some very popular restaurants, including Delmonico's, which seems be the most popular in the city - featuring a 24 ounce steak for a relatively low price (hint: two people can share it and neither will be hungry afterward). Since the renovation is recent, maintenance will be the key to continued satisfaction. The 3* Hotwire rating is out of line by Priceline standards as there is no restaurant and the amenities are definitely at Days' Inn level. It would probably be 2* on Priceline for those reasons. Expedia rates it 2.5* so Hotwire is definitely over-rating it. Link to comment
Kaynaydian
Stayed at this hotel via Hotwire win on Sun, March 18, 2010.While the amenities of this hotel listed a pool, the pool is in fact under construction and may not be open for a few months apparently.Room, continental breakfast and service were all decent.
