actraveler Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 Thanks again Better Bidding! :) I had stayed in the Copthorne Tara about a year ago. A little worn, but comfortable and a great location. Was happy to see they still participate in PRICELINE by a recent post.1st Bid $75-Kensington/EC/KnightsbridgeWas willing to increase to $80 and add Regent's Park if that failed. To my happy surprise, I got back a one-time offer to increase my bid by $22 to get an immediate confirmation. With that I changed my strategy because I really preferred Kensington. So instead, I added the Westminster zone and upped the offer to $80 knowing there are no 4* hotels in Westminster for $80.BINGO!!! Snagged the Tara. Details as below. Used the PRICELINE link to start bidding.-------------------------------------------------------------------------Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: US$80.00Subtotal: US$320.00Taxes & Fees: US$66.88Total Charges: US$386.88-------------------------------------------------------------------------Thanks again,Halactraveler
