MistyRyan Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 Afternoon Everyone,I have been trying to book a hotel through Priceline for the Disneyland Anaheim area for the last 3 weeks now. We have ended up using wotif.com to book the room but just wanted to provide an update of our bids in case it is helpful for anyone else.Dates are 28th/29th August, looking for 3.5* Disneyland - Anaheim area. We tried:$46, $49, $51, $55, $60, $65 (at this point was offered the chance to rebid if at least $17 higher did not except), $68, $70. I presume we were getting really close as we were offered the rebid, however a few days ago I noticed Red Lion was available on wotif.com for $76 a night tax inclusive + $4 booking fee. As this was one of the possible hotels in the above area we went directly through wotif as there is the option of changing / cancelling booking which hopefully we do not need but always good to have.Through wotif.com we got both nights for $156 including tax + fees. The same on priceline for a $71 bid would have been $168 incl. taxes. I think we might have got lucky as the WOTIF prices seem to be much higher then priceline/hotwire for all other areas we are looking at (LA, san diego, san fran, etc.)Thanks.
