Hotwire Hotel: 3* Chicago (Itasca) Hyatt Place

Coming to the western suburbs for an August wedding. Thinking about coming in early and going downtown for a couple of days. As a result, looking for a hotel that offers ORD shuttle service or walking distance to EL so that we can use the EL without having to drive & park.

Arriving 08/02 and departing 08/08. Found a 3 star ORD South for $45 with the following: Non smoking; shuttle; fitness; pool; restaurant; business center; internet; and golf nearby. This would seem to match either the Holiday Inn Elmhurst or the Holiday Inn Cumberland except for the non-smoking. Check of websites for both hotels reflects that smoking rooms are available.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

This HOTWIRE property shows a 3.0/5.0 Tripadvisor rating, which is not consistent with the Holiday Inn Cumberland, so i don't think this is the hotel you're being offered above.

The Holiday Inn Elmhurst does have a 3.0 TA rating, but the amenities don't match previous reports for this property, so while this is a possibility, i'm not sure this is the property being offered either.

I don't have any guesses for which i'm "reasonably confident" for this property, but with a 3.0 Tripadvisor rating, is this something you want to consider for nearly a week long stay?

I have decided to divide our time between 2 hotels. The first will be for sightseeing and the 2d will be for purposes of the wedding. I have already made reservations through Better Bidding to Hotwire for the 2d hotel and will report the results in another posting. I will also use another post for a question re an ORD North hotel.
