Hotwire Hotel: 4* Chicago (Loop) Palmer House Hilton

Looking for 1 room. (will need to upgrade to 2 beds) in River North or Loop area. Having trouble finding one $60 or less for a 2.5* or better. Any suggestions? It appears that others are finding this without much problem.

There is no assurance that you will be able to upgrade to a room with 2 beds... the hotel may be unable, or unwilling, to do so (even for an additional fee). Is this a risk you're willing to accept?

I have found what i believe to be the 4* Palmer House Hilton for $79/nite and you can assure separate sleeping accommodations... would you be able to stretch your budget for this higher rated hotel and separate bedding?

I bid $79 in the loop. (attempting to get the palmer house hilton.) and failed.

Yesterday HOTWIRE has a 4* hotel in the Loop zone but it is no longer offered.

The do currently have a 3.5* in the Mag Mile zone for $89, but not sure if you're willing to go $10 higher than your previous bid. Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option.

What is your current gameplan?

I would be more than willing on splitting a priceline bid. I can split 5/13/-5/14(or 5/15) and 5/14(or 5/15) - 5/18.

On HOTWIRE a 4* Loop property is appearing for $75 for 5/13-5/15... do you want to take that, or try bidding on PRICELINE for these dates, and then deal with the balance?

This thread started looking for a 2.5* but you've also bid as high as 4*, at this point what star rating did you want to bid for on PRICELINE?

I scored the Palmer House Hilton on HOTWIRE (using the provided links) for $75 + fees for 5/13-5/15.

Now I just need a hotel for 5/15-5/18. Any price under $100 is fine depending on the star rating. Loop and River North area is fine.

I've had a hard time finding something on PRICELINE during these dates.

As a current search for a 4* hotel in the Loop zone shows an offering of Fitness, Restaurant, Business and Internet, which matches previous reports of the Palmer House. If only the two icons above were showing it would be a new amenity combination for this property.
