seabreeze Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 I hesitated to post this because in my haste (& stupidity) I allowed myself to bid this high for a 4* in these zones. I saved a whole freakin' $4/night (once you add in the PL fee) over the regular rate of $319 for the Renaissance Hotel 57. This weekend trip is not getting off to a good start.Bid MTW $180Added TS $200Added CI $225Added CHE $250Added LI $275Started over...Bid CPS $190Added MTW $200Added TS $225Added CI $250Added CHE $275Added LI $300, Accepted at Renaissance Hotel 57Renaissance Hotel 57130 East 57th Street New York, New York 10022 Your Offer Price: $300.00Number of Rooms: 1Number of Nights: 3Subtotal: $900.00Taxes: $140.31Fees: $45.03Total Charges*: $1,085.34Last-minute desperation makes for an :) seabreeze.EDITED: Just noticed on their website that the rate goes up from $319 to $379 on 5/2/10.
AaronJB Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 Sorry to hear that bidding didn't go as intended for this stay. :) On a positive note, while bidding didn't go well, this does at least look like a very nice renovated boutique property.Thank you for sharing your result with the board and using the site's PRICELINE link.Enjoy your stay.
broco Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Hi,I got caugth too.. I got it for 275$ on the saturday. I did the split bid for the saturday and sunday so, I paid 120$ for the same hotel on the sunday. I thougth I would get a better price if I was waiting last minute but it was worst since I see some poeple got the week-end for 175$/night.
AaronJB Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Broco, please post your wins in a separate thread (and follow-up your priceline NYC thread).Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
