But I can't find the TripAdvisor rating that would show 4/5 or 4.5/5, for example. This would distinguish this as being either the IC or the James, correct? I really do not like the InterContinental.....

i apologize for not updating my NYC post. i did not end up purchasing so i don't know what hotel that was. i'm usually good at updating, i apologize! :)

Unfortunately, without a tripadvisor rating, there is no way to narrow down the list further. Another option is the Swissotel for $99 via Orbitz, which is quite a good deal for that property.
