mtruther
I bid at $38 for a 2.5 star for downtown Memphis on Priceline.com, and I was rejected. I could have done the rebid thing, but I decided that after having done some research that it was likely that the Hotwire offer was for the French Quarter, I gave up on Priceline and went with Hotwire (a first).I was primarily looking for an affordable room, and since I'm doing med school interviews, being downtown was a must. 1 room(s) @ $41.00 per night x 1 night(s) $41.00 Taxes and fees: $12.95 Total Price $53.95 The AAA Discount rate was set at $80/night, including tax, so I don't think I did that poorly.I'm not too particular when it comes to hotels. As long as it's clean and cockroach free, I'm happy. Luxury is simply a luxury, and who needs that on a med school interview? I'll leave feedback, though. Link to comment
