Rainkisses Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 Please help identify the follow hotel! Thanks!4* Houston Galleria area hotelPlanning on possibly going: 10/15 (Fri) thru 10/17 (Sun)2 Adults, 1 roomPrice listed on Hotwire (as of today): $89/nightAmenities listed:-Bed choice-Smoke free-Pool-Restaurant-Business Center-Internet-Tennis NearbyI plan on using the HOTWIRE link here to book once I decide what to go with. I might also wait a little and just keep checking Hotwire/Priceline for possible better deals since I still have a few months before I have to decide.
thereuare Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 If you want me to take a stab i'll gues the Westin Oaks with a new Smoke Free icon, but if you decide this would be a good purchase at this price let us know and i'll try to confirm further (as i only gave it a 'once over' at this point)Please post once you're ready to commit to a purchase... we'll then try to help identify anything that is offered at that time. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Rainkisses Posted May 6, 2010 Author Report Posted May 6, 2010 Conclusion:I went ahead and booked this hotel at $89/night today. You are correct, it is the Westin Oaks Houston. It is only a couple of miles away from the Houston Galleria Mall. I also used the HOTWIRE link on thereuare's reply. Thanks very much!
AaronJB Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 Congratulations on your success!Superb deal for this Westin property! Glad you are pleased with the result. Thank you for confirming this new amenity set for this HOTWIRE property so that we can update the site's Hotwire Hotel List for the state.Thank you for sharing your result with the board and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
Rainkisses Posted May 7, 2010 Author Report Posted May 7, 2010 By the way, I'm not sure if this makes a difference...But the "Bed Choice" added to the amenities list on Hotwire is only when you're searching for 2 adults. It's an additional fee. It went up to $104/night if you want to choose your own type of beds. (Choice between a single king or 2 queens.) Otherwise, you can still have the option of allowing the hotel to choose your room type for you at the price Hotwire advertised (which at the time I searched was the $89/night I mentioned). When I did a search for 4 adults, though, the "Bed Choice" icon dissappeared.I hope this makes sense and that it helps.
