thereuare Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread.Summer is typically one of the stronger seasonal periods in Hawaii. The HOTWIRE property above is a match for the Waikiki Parc so that would be my best guess for that one.Is this of interest to you or do you want to try bidding higher on PRICELINE?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. friendnetwork Posted April 28, 2010 Author Report Posted April 28, 2010 We are interested in Hyatt or Sheraton. Any ideas on how much we should go for in PRICELINE?
AaronJB Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 What would be your desired max budget per night (before taxes/fees?)Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
friendnetwork Posted April 29, 2010 Author Report Posted April 29, 2010 What would be your desired max budget per night (before taxes/fees?)Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.I just tried again starting from $90 all the way to $115 with an increment of $5, but still rejected. $115 is pretty much what I want to pay.
friendnetwork Posted April 29, 2010 Author Report Posted April 29, 2010 My husband just tried to bid from $101 up to $126, all rejected!!I think I might have to book the hotel from other sources.

friendnetwork Posted April 29, 2010 Author Report Posted April 29, 2010 OK. Here is my update:My planned travel date is from 7/31 - 8/6, and I want to book Resorts in the Waikiki beach area.Since I already bid up to $126 and still got rejected, I suspected that there is no room available at all at this moment. Then I started to believe that the weekend (7/31-8/2) was the main problem. In order to verify my theory, I use HOTWIRE to check the availability of Resorts in the Waikiki beach area and also found none available during that period. Then I proceeded to check the date from 8/2-8/6 (weekday), and I found a hotel that matches the profile of Sheraton for $119/night.So, I go back to PRICELINE and start bidding again and finally WON at $111 for 8/2-8/6.For the remaining days, I planned to wait for a month or two and hope PRICELINE will have their inventory updated with more Resorts, or I will just bid any 4* hotels in Diamond Head or in Waikiki beach.
