leap
This is my first time using Priceline and I'm little confused. Going to SF June 24-27. Looking to stay in Financial District (1st choice) or Union Square, preferrably a 4* hotel. I clicked the PRICELINE link and started filling in the information and that's where the confusion set in. Once I place the bid and fill in the personal information with credit card is that when it will come back (if bid is accepted) and say there's a hotel that has X amenities and a queen size bed and from there I can choose to continue?? Hope this makes sense. Thanks for your help. This is a great site! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!I think you're confusing/combining the features of PRICELINE and HOTWIRE.HOTWIRE is the service where you enter your information, are shown hotels and their amenities, and you can choose to take one of the offerings or not. With PRICELINE you select a city, zone, star rating and bid price... once you enter your credit card information and click "Buy My Hotel Room Now", if a hotel is available at the price of your bid, you win that hotel and are given the details (name, address, etc) of the property and you now 'own' the room for the nites you bid.See this thread for more information regarding the similarities, and differences, between the two services: I've Never Used Priceline or HotwireFeel free to ask any questions you have regarding the above and let us know how you'd like to proceed, we'll advise accordingly. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
