Hello,

I'm looking to book a hotel for one night on 5/6. My first choice is MTW, then MTE, last TS. My price range is $150 MAX. So I'm looking at 2.5 *'s.

I used the PRICELINE link on this page and started my bid at MTW $100 for 2.5* (rejected) then went to MTW, MTE and $115 (rejected) Then MTW,MTE, TS for $120...still rejected. .I read that 3 ppl got the Roosevelt for $110 for that night. Am I doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated!

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

You are not doing anything incorrectly; rates may vary from day-to-day so your date may require a higher bid than other users who have won for other dates. Additionally, in terms of the same date, if another user won this date for $110, they may have won that more than a month ago and prices for the Spring have been going higher in recent weeks.

In terms of 2.5*'s, the Roosevelt is a 3.5* - have you been bidding for 3.5* or 2.5*? Additionally, is your budget $150 + taxes/fees or $150 "all-in" (including taxes/fees.)

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Yesterday I began my bid at 2.5*...today I started at 3.5*...still no luck :)

$150 is my budget for total (including taxes)

I'm thinking of bidding on a room close to the airport since they are less $$ but will probably pay more in cab rides.

That is still up in the air...we will either be taking a train into penn station or driving down from Boston. We are leaving for a cruise on the 7th out of NY so it will be a short visit.
