scottied
Hi,I am looking to book a room ion Priceline and am not sure how long I will stay in the area for sure. Right now I am looking to book 2 nights starting next Tuesday, but I may end up being there 3 or 4 nights for business.I have heard Priceline offers the ability to extend your stay at the hotel you booked and I don't want to be moving hotels every day.Is this option usually available? Does if depend on what brand of hotel I get? Can I stay in my same room or do I have to check out and check-in to a new reservation?I would appreciate feedback from anyone who had done this a few timesThank you! Link to comment
thereuare
The offer is usually offered, but even when offered, it doesn't ensure that you'll be able to extend your stay. One of the three things can happen when you try:1) you're accepted at the same price for the additional nite(s)2) you're told there is availability but at a higher price than your previous win, and you're given the option to accept/rejected the higher priced offer3) you'll be told that there is no availability to extend your stay for the additional nite(s)Typically you won't have to change rooms, although you will usually have to go to the front desk at some point in time on 'switch' day to officially check-out/check-in againAlso, note that you only get one chance to extend the stay... so if you are successful for 2 nites, then try extend the stay one additional nite, you won't be able to get a 4th nite if your plans need.Let us know where you're traveling to, your desired star rating, and maximum bid per nite and we'll try to assist further. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
