RejectedFree rebid, added Regent's Park / Baker St hoping for second choice Hilton London Metropole which has come up more frequently, upped bid to $85. Accepted!Just an overnight layover in London, so convenient access to Paddington was key as I didn't want to stay out by LHR (I'm arriving into LGW anyway, so I'd have to incur transport costs somehow).
thereuare Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!One suggestion on your bidding strategy...Adding Regent's Park zone wasn't technically a re-bid, as there are 4* hotels in that that zone (re-bidding is adding a zone only offers star levels lower than the one you have selected, explained further in PRICELINE REBIDDING). If you were content with either zone, after your rejected bid for the Notting Hill, you could have closed the browser and re-access priceline however you did previously. Then bid $80 for Regents Park (only).. if that was rejected then add Notting Hill and bid $85. Doing it this way gives you the opportunity to win the Regents Park zone at a lower bid amount, while still not losing any bidding opportunities.Feel free to ask any questions you may have regarding the above.Thank you for posting to the board and have a great stay!
