I want good hotel with best value. I think for $80-$100 per night per room.

With a $100/night budget you may be able to win a 4* in Downtown or Beverly Hills/West Hollywood zones. A Downtown 4* usually costs less ($70's-$80's) than BH-WH zone ($90+).

It seems like there are a lot (like 15) 4* hotels in that zone, some of them don't seem so family friendly (too boutique-ish)any way to avoid that?

Priceline only guarantees double occupancy, which could mean a room with one queen or one double bed.
