This listing has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but my guess is that it may be the Sheraton w/a new amenity set. However, it could be something else, as well.

Do you need to be in this area or are you looking at a cheaper alternative to staying in 'downtown proper'... as there are some centrally located properties in Downtown DC for these dates for not much more.

I need to be near the Metro, and central DC would be better - as it would be nearer the Brookland/CUA Metro stop on the red line, where I will spend most of my time. I just thought Crystal City would be less expensive.

The hotel above is priced at $89/nite while HOTWIRE has (my best guess next to each... we can confirm if any are of interest):

4.5* Dupont Circle - $119 (Fairfax at Embassy Row)

4* Dupont Circle - $113 (no guess)

3.5* White House - $99 (Hamilton Crowne Plaza)

While these are a little more than the hotel above, they're also likely more centrally located and save you commute time.

Yes, the Crowne Plaza sounds good, but I don't think it is still listed on HOTWIRE (3.5* White House). The $89 hotel in Crystal City is no longer listed on Hotwire either. So I am still looking... I really hadn't looked at sites other than Crystal City, but I will do so now. Maybe I am looking too far in advance. Thank you.

I am happy to report I just booked the 4* Dupont circle hotel for $103 - and it was the Dupont Hotel. I couldn't be more pleased. Thank you so much for your help, and especially for suggesting I look at areas outside Crystal City.
