Welcome back :)

You can see the hotel reported to the board thru priceline and hotwire in the respective Priceline Hotel List and Hotwire Hotel List.

However, even if available, with PRICELINE you can't bid on a specific hotel or type of hotel... you need to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone a the star rating, or higher, that you select.

If you're looking for a specific type of property i would search HOTWIRE where you can look for the "S" icon which designates a suite-type property. From there, if something appears within your budget and desired star rating, we can see if we can try to determine the property offered based upon the amenities shown before your purchase.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Let us know what you find and we'll take it from there.

Hello!

Using your HOTWIRE link, I did find one S (Suite, thx for that tip, BTW). But it wasn't anywhere near downtown.

Since it's only one nite, we'd be able to have one room, especially if it's higher end and walking distance to sites, sounds, food and drink!

The most expensive $114 was a 4-star:

4-star hotel in Downtown Austin and Town Lake

This hotel features the following amenities:

Fitness Center

Pool(s)

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

High-speed Internet Access

Haven't decided whether to bate PRICELINE or not. Thoughts?

The amenities above are common for a 4* hotel and matches multiple hotels in the area... the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center, Hilton, Hyatt, InterContinental, and Omni have all been reported with this amenity combination, so any of these would be my best guess.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.

This is how HOTWIRE currently defines the requirements for a hotel to display the Suite icon:

A guestroom designed for an extended stay and/or that more spacious than the average hotel room. Suites typically offer residential-style furnishings, as well as separate living and sleeping areas; some also offer kitchenettes.
