chopchopchop Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 I would like to get two rooms in the Times Square - Theatre District or Midtown West from May 5-9. I'm not concerned about the star level really (2-star or better) and I'm wondering what kind of strategy I should employ. What do you think would be a good starting price?

thereuare Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 I'll start by suggesting that we don't typically recommend bidding for the lowest rated hotels in NYC... while some may be acceptable for your needs, others may not, and with PRICELINE / HOTWIRE you don't get to choose which type you will get.In light of the above, we don't see too much 2* bidding in these areas, but i do think this may be a tough win at $130, and you may be able to get a much higher rated hotel for not much more. However, it's up to you and you know your needs/budget best, so if you want to try for a 2* property this is how i would proceed (if you decide to strive for a higher rated hotel don't follow the above, just post back and we'll revise)...Select 2* TS...Bid $105, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 2* MTW...Bid $105, if rejected add TS...Bid $110If the above is rejected post back and we'll revise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
