irrezistible Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 I'm targeting Priceline #6 map: Las Vegas Strip North. I know the 5 star hotels will be Palazzo, Venetian, and Wynn. I'm hoping to get either Palazzo or Venetian. I know I will get a Luxury suite if I end up at these two properties but my goal is to get the Bella suite (w/ 2 queen beds). I called Palazzo reservations and was told to upgrade to Bella, it will be an additional $60/night. Is there a way around this? The $20 tip at check-in might work right?? But I don't want to risk it at the last minute at check-in because I'm hosting the girls for a bachelorette party. Please advise!!
yellowdog Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 I called Palazzo reservations and was told to upgrade to Bella, it will be an additional $60/night. Is there a way around this? Not from bidding on PRICELINE or here. This is the hotels decision when they talk to the clerk on arrival. The $20 tip at check-in might work right??You can try, but we can't say that this will fly.But I don't want to risk it at the last minute at check-in because I'm hosting the girls for a bachelorette party. Please advise!!There's not much we can do to help you. And what will you do if you hit the Wynn?Yellowdog.
irrezistible Posted April 23, 2010 Author Report Posted April 23, 2010 If I get Wynn, does anyone know if I can transfer to a room at Encore at check-in? Encore has only been reported here a few times. I'm looking for 2 queens and L shaped sofa in a 5* hotel. Encore has this but Wynn doesn't.
AaronJB Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 PRICELINE and HOTWIRE reservations are not eligible for upgrades. While some are lucky and get them at check-in, these instances are not common - it's up to the hotel to even allow guests the possibility of paying for an upgrade; some hotels will simply say no. It is highly doubtful that the Wynn will allow a change of hotel to the Encore. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
irrezistible Posted April 27, 2010 Author Report Posted April 27, 2010 Started from $85/night and up to $130/night. Was offered $145/night guaranteed rate after every failed attempt.
