Hi I've read the re-bid strategy and the diagram really helped in grasping the concept :) . Any bidding strategy help for ft. Lauderdale? I'll need a total of 3 rooms (3-4 in ea. room) on 4/2-4/3 and 2-1/2 to 3star is fine...cheap and cheerful is my goal for the pre-cruise. We'd like to keep it as close to $50/nt per room as possible, maximum $70. Thanks for any guidance!

Yes, downtown, airport or near the beach is fine. We are 3 families traveling in 2 cars so getting to the port isn't an issue. Wish we could find an alternative to $90 (each car) in parking at the port and would welcome any suggestions on that also.

Last i heard the AmeriSuites allowed guests to keep their cars there (for free) during their cruises... call them to confirm.

If so, on HOTWIRE there is a 2.5* in the Downtown zone which is believed to be the AmeriSuites. The price is more than your budget, as it is listed at $107/nite, but if parking is included than perhaps this would be worthwhile in relation to your total net cost.

Note that this 2.5* property only shows up when searching for 2 people in a room, so you'll have to restrict your search to 3 rooms/6 people to get it to show up.

Let us know if this works or we should look further into Priceline? If you go with the above, double check the amenities shown for the 2.5* with those in our HOTWIRE HOTEL LIST, and please use THIS LINK to begin your purchase.

Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
