Hello!

Please help identify Reno South - Reno/Taho Airport area hotel. We are attending a wedding in Reno July 31 and I need to book a room. (The bride's mother suggested the Peppermill as an option for guests. I see that the Peppermill is on the hotel list.)

4.5* ~ $59

I belive that you don't have listed all amenities for the hotel. If you go back to HOTWIRE and click the CONTINUE button next to this offering and then click the "See all amenities" link under the icons, do you see more amenities than what you've listed above?

I noticed that if I search Hotwire using 2 adults/ 1 child, different listings appear for the 4 and 4.5* options. I believe these are the Peppermill.

I realize the 4.5* is likely the Peppermill Tuscany Tower. But the 4* Peppermill listing - any idea which room/tower this would be?

So are these the Peppermill, but different towers? I need to book 3 rooms for 2 adults only in each room, but I may use the 1 child option to get the Peppermill over the Summit. Anyone have recommendations of one hotel over the other? I believe the Peppermill is actually closer to the wedding (as I've been told) but I'm not sure this is a "big" deal.

Okay!! Yes. I have booked 6 rooms! And yes. I did use the board's HOTWIRE link. :) And yes. It is the Summit at Grand Sierra

First, I booked 4 rooms for 8 adults/ 0 children for 7/30 - 8/1/2010, at $59. (I actually need 5 rooms for these dates, but when searching for 5 rooms, 10 adults, the listing was not available.)

I immediately searched for a 5th room, 2 adults/ 0 children, for 7/29 - 8/1/2010, and the listing was still there at $59. I successfully booked this 5th room for 3 nights because two people are arriving a day early. (I booked this room BEFORE getting the next one needed for the 2 night stay because it was more important that we get THIS reservation at the same hotel and same rate.)

So THEN, I went back and booked the 6th room for the original dates of 7/30 - 8/1, 2 adults/ 0 children, same $59 rate.

We all would have preferred the Peppermill Tuscany Tower... but at 143/night vs. 59/night, we'll take the Summit!!

OOPS ~ I just noticed on my Hotwire confirmation email that I actually got the 3-night room for slightly less than the others. The 3-night room was priced at $56/night. The other 5 rooms (each with a 2-night stay) were priced at the $59 rate.

I'm curious... if anyone can share thoughts/observations on the Summit, the Peppermill, or the area, please do. (more family members will likely be booking rooms soon)
