johnsarah79 Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I am about to bid for a 4* hotel on PRICELINE and need help.Dates: 5/30/10 - 6/2/10 Budget: $85-$120/night I really would like to stay at the Hyatt Waikiki or the Marriott. Just want to avoid Sheraton as much as possible. What approach or steps should I take? Thanks!
thereuare Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 With PRICELINE you need to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) that you select... there is no way to target,, or avoid, a particular property. If you're trying to target/avoid a specific property HOTWIRE may be a better option as you can often take an educated guess before your purchase as to the hotel you may receive based upon the amenities associated with the hotel (ie- if the hotel you're trying to avoid doesn't have a Pool, you can 'safely' purchase a hotel showing the Pool icon since you know it can't be the hotel you're trying to avoid). The trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
