Rainkisses Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Trip date: Friday, April 16 to Monday, April 19Price paid: $109/nightBooked: Um... last month, I think?4* W Fort LauderdaleOceanfrontFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterLaundry FacilitiesHigh-speed Internet AccessSpa Services*********************************************The stay was fantastic. Staff was extra friendly and helpful. You can even borrow the hotel's beach blankets until 7:00PM. (After 7PM, you get charged.) My room and all my friends' rooms were very clean. (I was concerned about this cause I looked at some past reviews and some people complained their room wasn't very clean. Luckily that wasn't the case for me.) The bathroom is interesting if you're traveling with anyone. It's a glass window into the bathroom from the beds. So you'll have to travel with someone you're very comfortable with. (My friends didn't do their hotel research and discovered this special "surprise" when they walked into their rooms.)Mornings from 6AM to 11AM is free coffee and/or tea in The Living Room (their social lounge area). In-room service food was... eh... you're better off walking the street looking for a restaurant/cafe to eat at. It wasn't bad... but it wasn't great either for the price you pay for room service. Las Olas Boulevard is close by containing lots and lots of stores and restaurants. Friday and Saturday evenings, the hotel has a DJ playing in The Living Room. Apparently, it's the newest hottest spot to "club" in. Their infamous pool was crowded my entire weekend stay. And if you're renting a car, you have to use their valet service (no option whatsoever to park yourself) for $30 a day.The beach was just across the street... and it wasn't too crowded while I vacationed, however, it also was cloudy and sometimes rainy... so I'm not sure if the lack of a large crowd was because of the weather. Plenty of people still went to the beach and laid out and napped though. All in all, I definitely would recommend this hotel. I think it's worth the 4* rating. At least, I know I hope to be able to stay at that hotel again in the future if I get a chance to go back to Ft. Lauderdale. (If Hotwire offers this hotel at a great rate again. :) )P.S. I hope I did okay. This is my first time posting on this forum/site.
