jschonert Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Ive been watching the trends with a 4* Downtown St. Louis hotel. Looks like a sure bet would have been the Hyatt at the Arch for less than $50.Im trying to get 2 rooms for 2 nights from May 12th thru May 14th. Ive gone up to $52 and gotten rejected both times.Any idea on why Im not getting it?Thanks
AaronJB Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Rates do vary by dates, and these may be busier/more expensive dates than other recent dates. What would your desired max budget be per night? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

jschonert Posted April 24, 2010 Author Report Posted April 24, 2010 Sorry about that. So I've used the website to start bidding today. Went up to $60 a room per night and still got rejected. I've tried looking up why it might be busy, but havent found a reason other than its May. Its on a Wednesday and Thursday night.Any other advice?
thereuare Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 Rates are not high for these dates so it may just be that hotels in this area have not made inventory available for these ... i'd continue to bid at current levels for the next 2-3 weeks. You can also book a fully refundable reservation while you continue to bid to protect yourself from rates rising from here. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
