This may be a general question on resorts so I apologize if this is the incorrect board.

When I visit Priceline and do a "Map View" of Resort hotels, is the list of those hotels the same list of hotels I would be bidding on in the bid section? So, if I won, would I get one of those hotels only or is there a chance that some other hotel not shown in the "Map View" might be my result? For example, could some hotel that is a 3 star, but calls itself a Resort somehow fall under the Resort category when bidding but not being shown as a resort on the Map View?

Thank you.

Welcome to BetterBidding :)

No, if you bid for Resorts only this what you get if your offer is accepted.

And you should not look at the hotels at the regular booking PRICELINE. It's a different service with different zones and hotels.

Please see this link for boards reported hotels: Priceline Orlando Hotels

is there any special hotel you're looking for or trying to avoid?

Just post your details for the stay so we can help you further.

Thanks.

I'm not trying to avoid anything in particular, but I was just trying to get something nice for cousins from outside of US. Turns out I might have to use HOTWIRE instead because one thing I need to protect for rooms with 2 beds, and PRICELINE does not guarantee. Thanks again for info.

Orlando is pretty good when it comes to 2 beds in a room. But you never know. So if it's a must that the room should sleep 4 guests is HOTWIRE your only option.

If you need help with an ID so please list the amenties, zone, dates, price HOTWIRE associates with the hotel you're looking at and we'll have a look at this.

Amenities:

Fitness Center

Pool(s)

Restaurant(s)

High Speed Internet

I'm trying to book 2 rooms (5 people) for 5/14/2010 to 5/18/2010 and it shows $69 for 3.5* ... do you think this is the Radisson hotel?

Also, will I be able to get two beds per room? or should I change to booking 6 people so I get two beds per room?

If you're trying for 2 beds in each room i would try searching for 7 people, to avoid the hotel assigning 1 room for quad occupancy (2 beds) and 1 room for double occupancy (1 bed)... a situation likely resolvable as long as the hotel isn't sold-out or otherwise heavily booked.

If you search HOTWIRE for 2rooms/7people does the same hotel above still appear? The same price (or at least close and still within budget)? Also, you can try searching 2rooms/4adults/3children as sometimes that won't increase the price whereas searching for all adults does.

Let us know what you find and we'll try to help you identify it.

thanks for the 7 people suggestion. I'll try that.

btw, do you think the hotel I listed is the RADISSON? I'm not sure because the list of amenities is only 4 long and the Radisson seemed to have a longer list for other people....the price is about right as is the rating. thanks.

If you change your search to 2rooms/7adults/0children a 'new' 3.5* appears in this zone with:

Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Laundry, Internet, Golf and a 4.5/5.0 Tripadvisor rating.

This is a match for the Radisson so that would be my best guess. Much of the other info is the same as the hotel with fewer amenities that you described above, so i'd speculate that they're the same hotel, but if this is a hotel you're interested in it would be better to purhase as 7adults/0children as the price is the same and, since based upon previous reports, it's the "stronger" match for the Radisson.
