dltprm Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 I hope this bidding history isn't too elaborate...Day 1:Bedford Burlington (3.5 stars) $38 rejectedBedford Burlington, Lexington-Concord (3.5 Stars) $39 rejectedBedford Burlington, Lexington-Concord, Natick-Framingham-Sudbury (3.5 stars) $40 rejectedDay 2:Bedford Burlington (3.5 Stars) $45 rejectedBedford Burlington, Lexington Concord (3.5 Stars) $47 rejectedI actually bid before in the Boston Metro-West area bedford burlington area and got the "Doubletree bedford glen" for $49 from Oct 16 (2009) - 18 2009 and Oct 30 (2009) to Nov 2nd if that may be helpful to other folks. But then I discovered this forum and realized I probably could do just as well at the Hilton Garden Inn and previous bidders were able to get it in this range so...my first and final bid wasNewton-Waltham (3 stars) $38 Accepted I was scouring through the priceline forum and I was also curious as to anyone paying any attention to that warning priceline gives when you put a really low number. It's been helpful for me to find where that number is and start several dollars lower. Is there any credibility to that strategy?Hope this helps. Used the PRICELINE links in the forum. Really appreciate this awesome site. saved me tons.
yellowdog Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding and congratulations on your success!Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding :) No, you shouldn't pay attention to warning about "low bid amount". When you have used PRICELINE for some time will you hit a hotel even if you have gotten the warning before bidding. it's better that you ask for help than rely on this "strategy".Enjoy your stay.Yellowdog.
