Priceline Hotel: NYC this Friday 4/23

I'm hoping to treat my wife and daughter to a night in NYC this friday, it's our 16th anniversary.

Hoping to find something near st patricks cathedral, american girl shop, central park. Hoping to get 4 star, but need advice on how to proceed.

In this case with three people, you would likely need two beds - PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy/1 bed (and this is particularly true in NYC, where using PRICELINE for 2 beds is a significant risk) HOTWIRE, where you can indicate the amount of people in the party, would be a better choice in this instance.

What would be your desired max budget for hotel for the night?

If we could get a king we would be OK.

But otherwise, maybe I should be looking at HOTWIRE.

I'm hoping to keep it under $150 for a nice place in that area.

Is it an advantage being so close to the date?

I see that the price is quite different when I add the 1 child on HOTWIRE. Ouch.

I was advised in the PRICELINE forum that HOTWIRE may be the better choice because we are 3, so need to specify 2 beds.

How old is your daugther? How much is the HOTWIRE offering when searching for triple occupancy?
