TylerT Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 Hi,I'm new to this forum, and to Price line / HOTWIRE. I'm looking for a hotel, 4 stars ideally near Central Park (as the triathlon ends there).Dates: July 16 - July 22, 2010Hotel: 4 StarsLocations: Close to central park, nice/safe area (my girlfriend is fairly worked up over New York and Crime, despite best efforts and lots of facts about the crime rate). So far the best I've found is on HOTWIRE: - 4 stars, $144/night - Botique, Fitness, Restaurant, InternetAs far as I can tell this is likely "On the Avenue" - Is this a good deal for the hotel, area etc?$140 is around the maximum I am looking at paying, although I would probably go $160 for a really good deal.Am I way off the mark, or did I miss a listing of "bids/acceptances" that were based on similar criteria?Thank you for all your help.Tyler
AaronJB Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)This is likely the Empire Hotel. There are not a ton of options at the 4* level in/around the Central Park area, but this is a very nice deal for this property/area/dates. You could possibly do a bit better via PRICELINE by bidding 4* Upper West Side, but otherwise - in comparison to regular rate - this is a very nice deal for the potential Empire. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
