Priceline Hotel: Need bidding strategy help for Paris Hotel 4* from 6/25 - 6/28 2010

Hi,

I'll be going to Paris from 6/25 til 6/28 and I need help with bidding strategy for 4* hotel at Opera Quarter East - Les Halles area only. My budget is around $110-$140. Is it reasonable or not? I was hoping to get Novotel but other 4* hotel within this area is acceptable as I want to be close to the center.

Another user in this winning priceline bid had to bid up to $155 for one of the dates in your range above to be successful for a 4* hotel in this zone.

Unfortunately you have no re-bid zones in this region when bidding for a 4* hotel, but with time on your side i would start at $115 and increase $5 every 24 hours until you reach your $140 limit (at which point you may want to consider continuing on towards $155, adding other zones, or lowering your star rating)

Still did not win any hotel even after I bid @ $120, $125, $130 and $135. I think I will continue my bid till $160 max. BTW, i use the PRICELINE link from this website. :)
