Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Calgary (Downtown) Marriott

I need to book 7 rooms for the May long weekend in Calgary. I would like a hotel in downtown Calgary with a 3.5 star or 4 star rating. Basically, I am wondering if booking multiple rooms will increase or decrease my bid price. I have seen multiple postings on this forum with bids between $58 and $68 for the Marriot in downtown Calgary. Would $58 be a good starting point? Any other tips?

Multiple rooms is often a non-event, but if it does effect availability, it has a negative effect since the hotel has to offer multiple rooms (7 in this instance) at the deeply discounted rate... many hotels may only offer a few rooms at a time.

Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* OR is your goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay? What is your maximum bid for this stay?
