I bid only in the Coral Gables-Coconut Grove area in the 4* category. Started at $55 and increased the bid by $1 each day until bid was accepted at $65.

For two nights I paid $130.00 for the room with taxes and fees of $26.16, total of $156.16.

I've stayed here in the past using Priceline and think highly of this property. I've always been given a great room. Parking in their garage is expensive, though. Last time it was around $16 per day.

Thanks to all who posted their bids--it helped a lot to have a precise idea of where to start bidding.

I stayed here last year (via this winning Priceline bid that I posted on betterbidding!) and because I wasn't at the hotel very often, I just parked at meters and put a few quarters in. They stop enforcing the meters around 9pm or so, and they don't start enforcing them until around 8 or 9am. Of course, check the actual meters for exact time. But you may be able to avoid parking in the expensive garage.

Thanks for posting your bid. I may have to go to Miami this Thursday, so your winning bid is very timely and informative, should I need to bid for a hotel.
