Hi

There appears to be a new hotel showing up for secausus/ meadowland area. Have you any ideas what this hotel is?

For dates 09/12/2010- 09/16/2010 it is showing as $69/ night. 3star hotel with 100% recommended

Amenities are:

Smoke free rooms

business centre

Fitness Centre

High speed Internet Access

I now would like to get booked for these dates. Fancied the Hyatt Place at Secausus but can't now seem to locate it. This hotel may be an option though base on price and the fact its 100% recommended

Thanks in advance and i'll use your link to book

Thanks

I'm no so sure this is the Hyatt Place...

If you change your search to 3adults a 'new' 3* hotel appears in this zone with the 'full' amenities previously seen to be associated with the Hyatt Place: Smoke Free, Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness, Business, Internet and a 95% recommended. (i'm not associating the 95% recommended with the Hyatt Place, only mentioning as it's "high", just as the one above)... but this 3adult property shows 50+ reviews, whereas the one above only show 10+ reviews.

Given the fewer number of reviews, i'm guessing this might be the new Homewood Suites on Rte 17 in Rutherford or the somewhat new Residence Inn on Paterson Plank Rd.

Is this for a less expensive alternative to staying in NYC? What is your maximum budget for this stay? Are you driving to the area or some other mode of transportation?

Hi and thanks for your help

We don't have a maximum budget as such but would like to stay in a nice hotel which has good reviews at the best possible price. We are flying into Newark and will be travelling by public transport and wish to head into Manhattan and NYC. We would therefore require that the bus or train was within walking distance of the hotel. Another thing we would like is if the hotel was near a mall and restaurants so at night we can stay near the hotel and wander around.

Had a look at both the Homewood Suites and also the Residence Inn and have also previously looked at the Hyatt Place. All of the hotels are of a standard that we would be happy with though would prefer in order; Homewood, Hyatt then the Residence Inn (mainly because it doesn't appear to have anything nearby.)

Can you advise of the best way to proceed to get the best price on Homewood or Hyatt?

Your help is much appreciated

The best zone as a less expensive alternative to Manhattan is Hoboken-Jersey City along the waterfront.

A 4* hotel for these dates i'm guessing will run you $90-$110, but all the known 4* hotels along the waterfront generally get very good reviews, offer easy access to Manhattan via PATH train, and have restaurants (and a mall) nearby within walking distance (although admittedly the mall isn't the that great of a mall, but certainly fine to 'kill a nite'... but plenty of other things to do in the area)
