Priceline Hotel: Are there 4* hotels in Carmel Ca?

I'm looking to stay near the Monterey-Carmel area and wanted to know if there are any 4* hotels in Carmel?

Would it be beneficial if I add this to my selection to get an extra bid if I increase my $ amount?

At the moment the highest star rating offered in the (Carmel - Carmel Valley) zone is 3*, but this can change at any time, so you really need to know how to check this yourself.

Thanks for the tip I checked the PRICELINE site and could not find a 4* hotel so I thought I would ask before selecting the bid.

I guess the short answer is Carmel doesn't have a 4* at this time so it would not hurt to add this for an additional chance to bid.

Yes, that is correct, but you need to check your re-bid zones using the technique in Priceline Re-Bidding Explained... NOT by using the 'retail' section of PRICELINE's site. The "retail" and "bidding" sections of their site use a different universe of hotels, as well as different zones and boundaries, so the 'retail' section shouldn't be used to determine your re-bid zones.
