First-time post, but I've been a lurker. Thanks for the invaluable site.

I'm having issues getting a good bid (judging from previous prices) for Fullerton, is this because it's a 4-night stay or because I'm bidding too far in advance? Below are my preferences and previous bids.

Priceline Region - Orange County Fullerton Brea

Travel Dates: May 13th - May 17th

Re-bid Zones: Anaheim Hills, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Seal Beach

Hotel List (in order of preference)

3.5* Crown Plaza Fullerton

2.5* Holiday Inn Express Placentia

2.5* Fairfield Inn Placentia

3.0* Residence Inn Placentia

3.5* Marriott Fullerton

I want to get Crown (or Mariott) for $50 or less... all others, $45 or less if possible. Also included are my car bids (all rejected so-far). I'm thinking that my date range is affecting the availability or else I'm trying too far in advance. Help?

Unfortunately, I don't think this would be an instance of bidding too far in advance - rates do vary by date and what other users may have gotten for other dates may not be enough for these dates if they are busier. While longer stays may be an issue in major cities (NYC), a 4 day stay in this area is likely not a major issue. Would your max budget be $50?

I can get the Holiday Inn Express Palencia for $80 - $10 coupon code per night (Expedia). So my max budget is actually closer to $65 per night, under $50 would be ideal though.
