I followed the link from betterbidding.com to PRICELINE.

I had Priceline search for a car and then I bid much lower because I saw some writeups that you could win a car in TPA at $12/day.

I chose Economy @ $12/day.

They threw it back at moi.

Then I chose Compact and mid-size and bid from $17-$35, finally winning at $35/day.

Alamo, mid-size, 4 days, 4/16 thru 4/20 for $185 total

Total Rental Days: 4 days(3 days and 20 hours)

Subtotal: $140.00

Taxes and Fees: $45.52

Total Charges: $185.52

Lowest Published Price: $327.52

Pretty good considering the highway robbery price out there of $327.

I did start looking at rates 2-3 weeks ago and the best I found was off airport at $161 total.

Would bidding weeks ago have really made a difference???
