ptstanto Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 I have a long test on Apr 29 and was hoping to get a cheap hotel within walking distance from 8501 West Higgins Rd. It appears to be located near the Chicago/O'Hare area on Hotwire, but I haven't had any luck. Mapquest mentioned a bunch of hotels, but I wondered if any other med students taking Step 2 CS had any advice. Thanks.

thereuare Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 Given the size of the zone, and your desire to be within walking distance, i don't think that your plans are flexible enough to use one of the opaque services.From what i can, there is a SpringHill Suites (a marriott branded hotel) which is very close for $89/nite, and this is likely your least expensive option.There is also a Marriott for $119 and a Holiday Inn for $91 which i would look into.Good Luck on your exams. shopout Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 Coincidentally I have been employed as a standardized patient...There are a lot of hotels around the area...consider using public transportation...that may give you more flexibility...the building is not far from the Blue line.
